
LNU News Center: On the morning of October 13, a group of nine consisting of the representatives from five primary and secondary schools and the general manager of spn Corporation came for a visit. Vice President Lan Yanze warmly received the delegation.
Lan Yanze extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She introduced the guests to the university’s development, student training, discipline construction, and international exchange. Lan added that the university, because of its long history, large scale of teacher education, high quality of student training, and attention to campus culture construction, has make great achievements. She hoped that inter-school exchange and cooperation will be expanded and exchange between disciplines and between teachers and students would be increased so that students of LNU would have access to more opportunities to study abroad.
One by one, members of the delegation talked about the history, discipline construction, and faculty of their respective schools. They complimented the students LNU dispatched to their schools and praised the teaching ideas and achievement of LNU. They also said they would ensure the safety of the students so that exchange would continue. Then, both talked at length about the arrangement of the life and courses of the students.
Li Yue, director of the Student Affairs, Ke Chunming, party secretary of the School of Literature and Communication, Sun Weidong, dean of the School of Foreign Studies, Zheng Zhijun, director of the OIEC, and the representatives from the Center for South China Sea Silk Road Collaborative Innovation attended the meeting. After the meeting, the two parties exchanged remembrances and had a group photo taken to mark the occasion, and the delegation had a tour of the campus.
On the afternoon of the same day, the Thai delegation attended an exchange meeting at both the School of Literature and Communication and the School of Foreign Studies, discussing the practice and employment of the students in Thailand.
