Representatives of City University of Malaysia Visit LNU

LNU News Center: on the afternoon of March 6, Wu Wei, Chief Office of South China Office of City University of Malaysia, and Lu Junjie, Manager of Educational Qualifications & Visiting China Department of the Office, visited LNU to explore opportunities of cooperation. LNU Vice President Dai Shu received the guests at No. 2 Conference Room.

 

Dai Shu extended warm welcome to the guests and briefed them on the history, disciplines, educational and research conditions, teaching staff, mission and principle, and overseas exchange. He pointed out that with further implementation of Chinas reform and opening-up policy, LNU will advance with the times, answer the call of the country, put into practice the open education principles, and make great efforts to turn the school into a high-level normal university that boasts of international excellence. Dai Shu emphasized that LNU always cares more about quality than quantity in designing program architecture, focus on the establishment and build-up its characteristics educational brand, and improve the brand awareness, and hoped that the two universities would be able to cooperate further on cultivation of talents, training of teachers and academic exchange.

 

Wu Wei introduced the basic information about the City University of Malaysia such as its nature, history and courses. In particular, he made in-depth explanation about the schools advantages including the structure of courses tuitions, admission requirements, the exchange of students program that is partially supported by the One Belt, One Road fund, and the expense of the program. He proposed that the two universities could cooperate on exchange of students, introduce LNUs courses into Malaysia, further study in Malaysia and joint cultivation of talents, noting that the School will provide free education for some applicants and offer tuition discounts.   

 

Director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office Zheng Zhijun hoped that the two universities could promote the exchange and communication between students and provide opportunity for LNU teachers to further study in the City University of Malaysia, so as to improve LNU teachers’ overseas teaching experience and professional teaching abilities.
