CHINANEWS.COM Zhanjiang, June 4, (Liang Sheng Guan Tianchong) "Master, would you please see if my movements are correct?" On the morning of June 4, 21 Belarusian teachers and students from the "Confucius Classroom" Summer Camp were learning Chinese Tai Chi in the Gymnastics Hall of Lingnan Normal University (LNU) in Guangdong.

It is reported that the "Confucius Classroom" Summer Camp is sponsored by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and undertaken by LNU and Belarusian State University of Physical Culture; it is one of the brand activities of "Confucius Classroom" jointly held by the two universities. This year's "Confucius Classroom" Summer Camp started on May 30 and will last for 10 days. The Belarusian teachers and students will learn Chinese martial arts, calligraphy, folk music, cooking, tea art and other courses with Chinese traditional cultural characteristics, visit the places of historic figures and cultural heritage of Zhanjiang, and carry out sports exchanges, evening parties, folk customs investigation and other activities.

"Chinese calligraphy is very difficult, Chinese martial arts are very strange, the tea art is very profound, the Guzheng and Guqin are very pleasant to hear, the summer camp has provided us with a rare platform for communication." In student Zechka Anastasia’s opinion, the summer camp has made her more impressed with the extensive and profound Chinese culture.

Sergeinova Maria is busy taking pictures with her camera everywhere she goes. She hopes to record every moment in China. Before coming to China, she was very worried about the language barrier, but the learning experience in these days has made her deeply appreciate the uniqueness of Chinese culture and the enthusiasm of Chinese people. She thinks that China is a great country.

When visiting the Zhanjiang Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, kavizkaya Anna said excitedly: "I was shocked by the traditional Chinese medicine; in particular, all drugs are natural! I admire the Chinese medical experts who did massage and acupuncture for us. They can find out health problems effectively."

According to the Vice Principal of LNU, "Confucius Classroom" Summer Camp is a platform for enhancing friendship between Chinese and Belarusian youth; it is of positive significance for improving the cognition of Belarusian teachers and students on Chinese traditional culture and promoting the youth of the two countries to strengthen multi-cultural exchanges and broaden their cultural horizons. He looks forward to the teachers and students of the camp actively serving as disseminators of Chinese culture and promoters of exchanges between Chinese civilization and other civilizations to make contributions to carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
