LNUPressCenter News: "The enthusiasm of Lingnan Normal University (LNU) makes us feel at home." on July 7, the summer camp for Zhanjiang and Taiwan college students kicked off in our school. Young students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered together to carry out wonderful cultural and sports activities, demonstrating their youthful vitality and deepening their friendship.

A tree seed brought back from National University of Tainan nine years ago has grown into a leafy forest. In the "CassiaFistulaGarden", teachers and students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait witnessed the deep affection between Zhanjiang and Taiwan universities. Guided by our students, teachers and students from Taiwan visited the campus and stopped to take photos at every place. Zhan Zhijun from the National Taichung University of Education said with emotion: "This campus is amazing, with many places full of traditional cultural atmosphere, such as the antique college square, the Taiwanese artist's ceramic wall Ask Canal, the landscape sculpture Confucius and Lao Tzu, and the centennial normal school memorial tower…… The landscape design and education function have achieved a harmonious coexistence."

"Wow, that's great!” During the sports exchange activities held in the gymnasium, the students of our school performed the lion dance with the characteristics of western Guangdong culture, which made the teachers and students from Taiwan couldn't help clapping and cheering.College students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait participated in the dance teaching of Queen's Road East and felt the virtue of "diligence" through dance movements. Students formed 8 teams and completed the games of dragon fetching water and passionate rhythm through team wisdom and teamwork, demonstrating the profound friendship of "People on Both Sides of the Taiwan Strait are Families".

On the evening gala, Lasting Appeal of Lingnan Martial Arts demonstrated the essence of Chinese martial arts, Descendants of Dragon expressed the feeling of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait being descendants of Yan and Huang, the sitcom My Food Diary displayed the delicious Taiwan food, the team building activity Praise for Taiwan and Zhanjiang caused the interactive climax of the scene, Chorus Mother's Smile performed by students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait expressed the profound love to the motherland... all the 15 wonderful programs won bursts of applause.

"The song Love Together filled the party with love and I hope people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait will love each other. Seeing the audience swing together with the rhythm, I am particularly touched, and this kind of feeling is very good", said Zheng Zuxin, a student from the University of Taipei.

Young students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait believe that the colorful cultural and sports activities have brought people closer to each other and made them feel the warmth of "People on Both Sides of the Taiwan Strait are Families". The kinship and friendship between ethnic compatriots will always exist, and the cultural and emotional bond of both sides of the Taiwan Strait cannot be separated.
