Foreign Students, welcome to Lingnan Normal University (LNU)!
Hey, babes!
Is there anything new to share recently?
Yes!
There are always some handsome foreign boys around North Street
What's going on?
●The first large-scale enrollment of overseas students! Eight students arrive at school!
It is learned that the foreign boys and girls who often appear in the No. 1 teaching building at the North Street recently are the undergraduate students admitted by our school this year. This year, LNU has enrolled 32 undergraduate students from all over the world for the first time, 8 of whom have already arrived. Most of the foreign students come from Rwanda, Guinea and other African countries.
"In the past, our school only admitted a few foreign students, and they studied undergraduate professional courses together with ordinary Chinese students." "With the internationalization development of education in LNU, the overseas students scale has also been further expanded. This year, the university will open two special classes for international students majoring in Chinese Language and Literature and Business English for the first time to promote the undergraduate study of overseas students in China", said a teacher from the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation.

During the registration period, overseas students have already begun to learn some Chinese cultural courses, such as elementary spoken Chinese, elementary Chinese reading, elementary Chinese listening, elementary Chinese comprehensive knowledge, paper-cutting, Tai Chi and so on.

In order to make students adapt to the new environment as soon as possible and provide opportunities for the cultural communication of Chinese students, students from Grades 16 and 17 of the School of Literature and Media and the School of Foreign Languages were selected to form one-to-one support volunteers to help overseas students to go through the admission procedure and understand the teaching management and daily life and other matters.
"International students face many difficulties when they come to a new environment, such as language barriers, jet lag, differences in diet and so on." English major Shen Chengjie told the reporter as an international student assistant. Although there are many difficulties to overcome, the overseas students' initial experience in LNU seems to be good! Don't believe it? Read the WeChat Moments that they released!
