Expert Chen Ming has a cordial talk with students at a dormitory
LNU Press Center News: Chen Ming, an evaluation expert and Director of Discipline Construction Office of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, visited boys’ dormitories in Shangya Garden and Hongzhi Garden after 9:00 p.m. on November 5, after an expert panel preparatory meeting. After learning about Love Station, a program aiming to provide subsidies to students, he donated RMB 1,000 to the program to show his support.
Chen asked about students’ study and conducted a detailed inspection of each dormitory he visited.
"The cleanliness of a living room shows the purity of a soul and the spirit of a person, and students majoring in arts, in particular, should show a good image." Chen encouraged students to clean their dormitories frequently and create a good living environment by learning from German craftsmanship. He stated that public places embody humanistic literacy, and daily behaviors and habits are of significance to a person’s future success.
Chen affirmed the living conditions of the student dormitories which are equipped with hot water systems and air conditioners. He shared the story of National Southwestern Associated University with the students, saying that a harsh environment enables people to temper their willpower. He encouraged the students to cherish the present and succeed in study.
During his visit, Chen found out a unique dormitory in Hongzhi Garden. He had a detailed understanding of the design concept of the dormitory and praised the students for their sense of design and management of their dormitory and their artistic feelings.
“This program is very warm-hearted and meaningful. This is the first time I know such a model to help impoverished students.” Chen had an in-depth understanding of LNU’s student-aiding system, gave high praise the operational services of the Love Station. He stated that graduates donate tangible books to extend intangible love and showed his support to the program by donating RMB 1,000. All the program staff members were moved by Chen’s affirmation and donation.
