LNU Press Center News: “It's the second time that I've visited LNU,” said by Hazel Petrie, the Director of Student Affairs Division of Abertay University UK, “I remember the gate, which is full of Chinese features.” On the afternoon of March 17, a Delegation of Abertay University UK visited LNU to discuss exchanges and cooperation and implement promotion activities for cooperation program. The delegates of both parties held a meeting in the Conference Room, Administration Building 1. Hazel Petrie, the Director of Student Affairs Office, Jiang Pengcheng, the Enrollment Director of Abertay University Office in China, Lan Yanze, LNU Vice President, Zheng Zhijun, the Chief of LNU International Exchanges and Cooperation Office, and Cheng Weijie, the Deputy Chief of Exchange Section attended this meeting, which was presided over by Zheng Zhijun.

“Thank both of you for visiting LNU as the messengers of Abertay University for cooperation and exchanges,” Lan Yanze warmly welcomed the Delegation. She hoped to strengthen dialogue, deepen the communication and facilitate the “frequent interactions” of exchanges and cooperation. In addition, both parties expected to expand the cooperation from students to teacher development, teaching management and other academic administration affairs.

 “Some changes and supplements have been made to our summer exchange program this year, especially in course design. We divide courses into three categories of‘Common English + Business English’, ‘Business English + Financial Accounting’, ‘Fine Arts + Common English’ but we will flexibly arrange and adjust courses based on students' intentions to give them a better experience during the 21-day exchange program in Abertay University.” Hazel Petrie thanked LNU for the warm reception. She welcomed LNU students to visit Abertay University for exchanges and study, promised that she would deliver the LNU's intention to intensify mutual cooperation of computer games and other areas and follow up the updates, and looked for more cooperation opportunities in these areas. Zheng Zhijun briefly introduced basic information of LNU to the visitors and invited students from Abertay University to join the “Overseas Youth Summer Camp” of LNU in this July. Jiang Pengcheng made a brief presentation of LNU students who went to Abertay University for study and exchanges and said he would deliver LNU's intention to cooperate with Abertay University in Computer Games.

Both parties discussed implementation of existing cooperation programs, promotion plan of Abertay University in this visit and feasibility of cooperative education in other fields, laying a robust foundation for continuous exchanges and cooperation between both parties in the future. According to a LNU delegate, a delegation consisting of school administrators and leaders of student administration department would visit Abertay University in the second half of this year to learn the latter's experience in student service and management. Abertay delegates expressed their welcome and expectation to the visit of LNU Delegation.

After the meeting, Lan Yanze presented on behalf of LNU a souvenir to the Delegation and delegates of both parties took a photo together.

It's learnt that on the afternoon of 17 and morning of 18, the Delegation of Abertay University UK gave two talks for summer exchange program and received positive feedback from students.
