LNU Press Center News: On February 27, Jean Marc Nicol, former president of Auvergne Labor Department, Nice, France, Annick De Jaegher, Vice President of “Bado Mandiang” (Africa) Humane Association, Didier Briand Bourdon, former leader of Delamare Shipping Bureau, France, French overseas Chinese Deng Jing (native place is Zhanjiang) and her husband Philippe Fumoux, visited Lingnan Normal University in the company of Lin Li, assistant investigator of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau of Zhanjiang City and Hu Xianguang, curator of Kwangchowan History and Folklore Museum. Huang Wei, Vice President of Lingnan Normal University, gave a warm reception to the Delegation from Nice, France.

In the exchange meeting, Wang Wei first warmly welcomed the delegation from Nice, France and introduced LNU from perspectives of development course, talent development and discipline construction. He said LNU would put his best efforts into the exchanges and cooperation between Nice and Zhanjiang City and expected Nice Delegation to build a bridge between LNU and University of Nice, helping to establish a good cooperation relationship between the two universities in scientific research, talent development and other areas.

Jean Marc Nicol thanked LNU for the warm reception, and said that LNU has a rich culture and beautiful environment and he'd like to facilitate the communication between Nice and Zhanjiang City, hoping to contribute to exchanges and cooperation between LNU and University of Nice.

Zheng Zhijun, the head of International Exchanges and Cooperation Division, Sun Weidong, the Dean of School of Foreign Languages, Xiao Jianchun, the Deputy Chief of International Exchanges and Cooperation Division, Wang Qinfeng, the Executive Deputy Principal of Research Institute of Lingnan Culture and related leaders and teachers also attended this meeting.

Before the meeting, the French Delegation visited Gu Rong Square and Research Institute of Lingnan Culture in the company of Huang Wei, Zheng Zhijun and Wang Qinfeng. Wang Qinfeng introduced research direction and results of the Research Institute of Lingnan Culture to the guests and communicated with them about the research data of Kwangchowan.

It's learnt that Jean Marc Nicol and the delegation came to Zhanjiang to build a sister-city relationship between Nice and Zhanjiang City. They hoped Nice and Zhanjiang City could become partners through inter-governmental cooperation and exchanges. In this visit, the delegation thought highly of urban environment of Zhanjiang City, feeling confident in future cooperation in education, culture and economy between the two cities.
