LNU Press Center News: On July 4, Dean David Cobham of School of Computer and Professor Yue Shigang of Department of Computer Science of the University of Lincoln, UK visited Lingnan Normal University on behalf of their university. The delegation had a cooperation meeting with the representatives of Lingnan Normal University in the Conference Room 1. Vice President Huang Wei, Chief Jin Yifu of Scientific Research Division, Secretary Lin Han of School of Information Science and Technology, Dean Li Zhong of School of Physical Sciences and Technology, Deputy Chief Zheng Zhijun of International Exchanges and Cooperation Division and related personnel attended this meeting.

Huang Wei welcomed the arrival of Dean David Cobham and Professor Yue Shigang. Both parties discussed in depth the details of four cooperation areas: co-founding of Sino-UK International Engineering College, collaborative undergraduate programs, collaborative MD-PhD programs, collaborative research programs and co-founding of a collaborative research center based on cooperation talks made during the visit of LNU delegation to the University of Lincoln in this May. He said LNU would try hard to hold an opening ceremony for the Sino-UK International Engineering College in this September or October. Both parties looked forwarded to the cooperation and intended to share resources, speed up the cooperation, improve mutual development and achieve a win-win situation in the future cooperation.

The success of this meeting represents the cooperation has come into a concrete stage, broadens the cooperation orientations and provides a basis for both universities to carry forward the cooperation.
