Welcoming ceremony

LNU Press Center News: Recently, a new batch of students from Rajamangala University of Technology (RMUT) arrived at LNU. On the morning of May 23, President Liu Minggui met 12 exchange students from Rajamangala University of Technology at LNU. At the meeting, he encouraged them to adapt to the new life and study as soon as possible and wished them a great time in Zhanjiang. A welcoming ceremony for the 2016 exchange students from RMUT was held at Conference Room 2 in the same morning. The ceremony was attended by leaders including Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Division Deng Fengguang, Director of Faculty of Humanities Liu Huiqing, Deputy Director of School of Fine Arts Qiao Zhiqiang, and teachers who would provide classes to these exchange students.

At the ceremony, Director Deng Fengguang briefed LNU’s history, education, scenery, teaching quality and other aspects to Thai students following an introduction about attendees and teachers. He encouraged the exchange students to immerse themselves into the new the campus life here and get well along with LNU peers, and devote themselves to the learning and living with their full heart. After that, Director Liu Huiqing and Deputy Director Qiao Zhiqiang briefed the Faculty of Humanities and the School of Fine Arts and wished them a smooth study process and a wonderful life here. These 12 students from RMUT made self-introduction and said they were looking forward to the study in LNU and hoped to gain deeper understanding about the profound Chinese culture as well as further improve Chinese language and painting skills here.

It is learnt that these students will involve in a two-month exchange and learning program at LNU. In the coming July, 22 LNU students will be exchanged to RMUT. Every year, RMUT and LNU exchange students and this exchange program have already been in place for 10 years. With a steady partnership, this program has offered LNU students an exciting exchange platform and boosted the Thailand-Zhanjiang communication in education.
