He told the story of overseas Chinese in Thailand based on his own growth. Chen Huakun introduced that President Wang is devoted to public welfare and cares much about the life of overseas Chinese in Thailand; he made a great contribution to safeguarding the torch relay of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in Thailand; after Bangkok bombing occurred in July 2015, President Wang hurried to hospitals to visit the injured overseas Chinese and offered them help. Chen said that they came to Zhanjiang mainly for two reasons: to express concern about the disaster in Zhanjiang and to do something for Zhanjiang according to the will of President Wang.
In this regard, Jin Yifu said that LNU possesses many advantages and achievements in history, education, religion, culture, etc. He introduced the Collaborative Innovation Center for South China Sea Maritime Silk Road Studies, the platform for LNU to cooperate with the Thai side.
