Lingnan Normal University News Center News: On the evening of June 6, the closing ceremony of 2018 Summer Camp of Confucius Classroom at Belarusian State University of Physical Culture (BSUPC) was held at Lingnan Normal (LNU). We gave a warm send-off to 21 teachers and students from BSUPC and expressed our sincere feelings for them.
Ms. Lan Yanze said in her speech that the students joining the summer camp had exchanged their thoughts and feelings through campus tour, sports exchanges, film watching, Chinese cultural courses, and visits to enterprises and museums. As they cultivated their perseverance, indomitable spirit and broad-mindedness, the mutual friendship between teachers and students of China and Belarus have continued to be enhanced. She hoped that Belarusian students will spread the excellent Chinese culture in their own country and actively promote the exchanges between Chinese civilization and other civilizations, and that every student could be a part of the co-operative construction of Belt and Road Initiative. Also, students could bring the positive energy obtained in this summer camp into the future academic study and daily life in Belarus to harvest more brilliance in their youth.
Ms. Natallia Kastseyeva, the team leader of BSUPC students, said that she felt the camp was friendly, unforgettable and harmonious”. She expressed her appreciation for the excellent arrangements made by LNU, professional teaching and kindness of the Chinese students. The summer camp also allowed for further exchanges between teachers and students of the two schools, and she sincerely wished the friendship between China and Belarus sustain long.
“I feel honored to learn Chinese culture right here in China and experience the profound Chinese culture.” said Maryia Siarzhanava, a student from BSUPC. She thought that though the two countries were far away in distance, our hearts were closer to each other through the summer camp.
Various performances in the party created a warm and harmonious atmosphere. LNU students presented graceful classical dance performance, the romantic dance performance and melodious pipa solo. Meanwhile, Belarusian teachers and students demonstrated their learning results through performances such as reciting Tang poetry or playing Tai Chi Sword.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Zheng Zhijun, Director of the Office of International Exchange & Cooperation. The heads of some secondary units of LNU, the teachers of the summer camp and the participant students from LNU participated in the event.
