After marching ahead and chasing the dream for 70 years, all the Chinese people today are ushering in the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Today, on October 1st, the faculty and students of LNU Gather to celebrate our motherland's birthday.

 

On the morning of October 1, the grand ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China was held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech. A military parade and mass pageantry was held following his speech. The faculty and students of LNU were organized to watch the event, experience the great achievements of our motherland and celebrate its 70th birthday in different places.

Paul, an international student from the Ivory Coast, shared his impressions of China’s greatness and prosperity. He said: “There is no other place on the earth as beautiful as China, because people living in this country love their great motherland.” Carly, a foreign student from Yemen, said: “Everyone living in China is safe and well protected by strong military force and equipment.”
