LNU collaborates with partners in innovation and education, and strengthens international exchanges and the university-local government cooperation. Base on the notion of “Open education, Continue to write brilliancy”, LNU pay attaches more attention to carrying on international exchanges and cooperation in the field of education. There have beenLNU has cultivated and trained over 600 overseas students who came to LNU for long-term and short-term exchanges since LNU began to recruit overseas students in 1998. It has developed close cooperative relationships with above 50 overseas universities and educational organizations and nearly 30 elementary and secondary schools in different countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Russia, Japan, New Zealand, Belarus, Ukraine, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, and China’s Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, etc.

There are lots of exchange activities that would will be held together by LNU and partner schools each year such as academic exchange, professional collaboration, education training, interactive teacher recruitment and cross-culture exchanges for students. More than 300 students attend international programs annually for oversea study and internship. LNU has cooperated with the Asian Underwater Federation for setting up the “Asian Underwater College”; cooperated with the China Aquatic Production Chamber of Commerce and others for setting up the “Aquaculture International Business College”; LNU hasand cooperated with Belarus State University of Physical Education for setting up the Confucius Classroom characterized in Chinese martial arts and sports rehabilitation and health care, which is named the "Advanced Confucius Classroom" in the world. ; cooperated with the Philosophy Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for setting up the “China-Belarus Philosophy-Cultural Research Center”; and cooperated with Guangdong Dongdao New Energy Co., Ltd. for setting up the “Dongdao College of Clean Energy Materials Industry”The Confucius Classroom has been approved by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) in April 2015, and starts to recruit students in the spring of 2016.

 LNU has also been entitled as the Base for Conveying and Spreading Chinese Culture of Guangdong Province. Giving full play to its advantages in talent-training, academic research and intellectual support, LNU has developed close connection and all-dimensional cooperation with local government departments, enterprises, research institutes and the resident troops in education, science and technology, economy, culture, law and policy research so as to actively promote both its schooling resources and increase its contributions to the local socio-economic development.
